DIREKT FORM works without a physical pattern, which eliminates the costs associated with conventional pattern production and significantly reduces the costs of manufacturing the casting mould.
We employ DIREKT FORMING to machine the casting mould directly out of the mould material. That means you have zero costs for pattern production, storage or repair.
Machining close to the final contour and a minimal number of mould parts further minimizes the effort and costs of finishing.
Machining the mould out of sand blocks allows high contour precision. That means extremely fine and complex geometries, even undercuts, can be made with ease using DIREKT FORMING technologies. Furthermore, the process entirely dispenses with pattern demoulding and the associated limitations in casting design. There is no need for draft angles or roundings. Complex contours are produced without additional divisions. The number of cores in the hollow cavities is significantly reduced.
